How to get there
Here’s how to reach Nardò and the Salento region in Puglia.
How to get there by plane:
Puglia is served by two airports – Bari (BRI) in the north and Brindisi (BDS) in the centre.
Brindisi offers the easiest access to Salento, the southern part of Puglia, and is closest to Nardò. It’s a 50-mile/ 80 km drive to Nardò, which takes less than an hour.
The airport of Bari is 130 miles/200 km from Nardó, and it takes about two hours to get to Nardò from there.
How to get there by car:
Rental car pick-ups and drop-offs are available at both Bari and Brindisi airports or in the centre of Lecce.
From Brindisi airport, follow the signs towards Brindisi/Lecce and take the SS613 heading south to Lecce. When you reach the Lecce ring road, follow the signs to Gallipoli and further on, take the exit for Nardò. The old town centre of Nardò is a car-free zone. You will have access to the old town on arrival and departure days, and we will also advise you where to park your car during your stay.
From Bari airport, follow the signs to the motorway and take the direction Bari/Brindisi. After about an hour, you will reach the Brindisi ring roads, then follow the route above.
How to get there by train:
Lecce railway station is the last stop on the national network. Ferrovia Sud Est is the network that serves Salento and you find their ticket office on platform 1 of Lecce station.
