About me
A love of design and architecture, a passion for beauty and a desire to create: this is me in a nutshell. And just in case you are wondering: my favorite colour is green – all shades of green.
My passion
I started going to Puglia in 2009, and when I discovered the beautiful baroque town of Nardò, I felt an instant connection – it was love at first sight. I decided to create a second home here, and as one says, the rest is history.
Having always had a passion for architecture and design, I was particularly captivated when I discovered a stunning 17th-century palazzo with beautiful vaulted ceilings and views overlooking the old town. And there were more unique properties so I embraced the opportunity and followed my lifelong desire to renovate houses. I work with local architects and use my creativity and interior design know-how to create beautiful spaces.
To me, space is a privilege. Creating sophisticated places, with all the amenities of upscale living while preserving authentic and original architecture, gives me tremendous joy.
My belief
It was important for me to work with local architects, builders, and craftsmen, and immersing myself in the local culture, as it allowed me to gain unique experiences and insights.
The locals in Salento are very open-minded, helpful and kind, and it is a joy to work and live with them. And, of course, the very healthy, traditional cuisine and the gorgeous wines all add to this beautiful part of Italy, which I now call home.
Preserving what we love
To preserve Puglia’s heritage, help our local agriculture, and to further offset our carbon footprint, I am also a sponsor of Olivami, a non-profit organisation that helps to reforest the olive trees in Salento, which have suffered tremendously over the past few years. To this end, I have adopted 40 olive trees.
